I turned thirty-five. A lot has happened the last ten years. There were wins and yes, losses too. I could remember how colorful the year was when I turned twenty-five. I caught myself saying, I wish this year will be the same. I hurriedly snapped myself out of it and said, this year will even be greater, more glorious, and more exciting. I am thankful for my past. They have helped me of who I am today.
I don’t really have much to say except that as I go through this year, I’ll start by keeping two bible verses close to me that speak volumes to my life. First is from Isaiah 43:19,
“Behold, I am doing a new thing;
Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.”
I am thrilled!
The second one is from Jeremiah 29:11. I have this verse on my bedroom wall and coincidence or not, as I’ve been trying to read my bible, chapters 28 and 29 from Jeremiah were my readings for today (tonight). It says,
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord,
plans for welfare and not for evil,
to give you a future and a hope.”
They are very clear. They’re very easy to understand. And as I’m writing this down, I notice how they can be related to each other, don’t you think? He is doing something new for He knows the plans He has for me and they are good! 😉
