I’ve often thought of it
In places hard to get
And circumstances impossible to make
A smile that can melt
A heart that’s unrest.
So I’ve made a resolution
Amidst every awful situation
And sorrowful plight
To choose, to decide
To smile anyway.
When you’ve been taken advantage
In your weakness you lost perception
Of the things you once treasured
Your life you thought was over
But hey, smile anyway!
When you see an end
In relationships meant to remain
Swallow your pride
Close your eyes
Yes please, smile anyway!
When you’ve been crushed
By people you loved
Lift up your head
Continue to love
Sure you can, smile anyway!
When you’re left with no options
From your choices you once unquestioned
Relearn, reminisce, remember
And never surrender
Right, smile anyway!
When you feel wronged
And does not belong
When you see injustice
And prejudice
When you’re tired
When you’re lost
And reasons to fight
Are out of sight
When you’re hurt
When you’re upset
From things you can’t forget
Move on, smile anyway!
For the world demands for it
Your spouse wished for it
You child smiles with it
Your family looks forward to it
Your friends are expecting to see it
The lost longs for it
The strangers are enlightened with it
Humanity hungers for it
People around you are ministered by it
It’s gonna be okay,
Smile anyway! :)
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
2 Corinthians 4:8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.
