ONCE AGAINs.
I'll see familiar faces once again
In places that made me regain
The love, the smiles, the vigor
Of what it is to be a victor.
I'll see familiar faces once again
Some of which waited for a plain,
A point-blank and a direct
Of why I left despite their protest.
I'll see familiar faces once again
And feel the warmth of a friend
That I've come to learn what it is
To be at rest and be at peace.
I'll see familiar faces once again
Whose trust always reign
Though in my most desperate case
Never failed to set me ablaze.
I'll see familiar faces once again
In circumstances, I still remain
Though in trials and in pain
Striving to win each battle every now and then.
These thoughts I hold to last
As I look forward for a blast
Of seeing the acquainted lane
For I'll see familiar faces once again.
FOR A WHILEs
For a while, yes it is
When I won't be seeing the busy streets
The rushing people and the vehicles
Made me wonder their everyday struggles.
For a while, I know it is
To be away from present pleas
For me to see life's significance
Like how I love to glee and dance.
For a while, it is just for-a-while
To feel and taste the lime
Yet, await to see the beauty
For the pursuit of God's glory.
For a while, I convinced myself
To walk, live, and smile abreast
With the people I've come to love,
And in return, be loved.
For a while, I have to relearn
That I am meant for higher realm
One that's pure and focus
Of the aim that brings glucose.
Oh, how I like to think the times
When I'm with you and you're with me
Oh, how I want to believe
That this is just for a while.
Psalm 139: 3 My travels and my rest you mark;
with all my ways you are familiar.
